Following her book signing last week, Kate Moss joined Florence Welch and many other celebs at a party hosted by Marc Jacobs at 50 St. James in London to celebrate the launch of ‘Kate: The Kate Moss Book’ by Rizzoli New York.
The model is known to write her own rules style-wise, so I wasn’t surprised to discover that she’d worn this Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 gold lamé gown backwards.
The question is, did Kate intend to do an Angelina, or was she simply confused as to what was the front and what was the back of this gown?
It would be an easy mistake to make considering the gown has a v-front and v-back.
Tousled tresses, smoky eyes, a black shoulder bag and gold jewels completed her look.

It looks OK from the front, but horrible from the back. Also her hair needed an updo.
I rather like it this way

+1. Much better in the front on her than on the model.
The fit is horrible on the runway model, Kate made it work her way, I guess.
It looks much better the way Kate wore it.
Totally Kate. She gets to do what she wants.
I think Marc Jacobs might’ve got it wrong because it looks way better on Kate Moss. It’s definitely not aesthetically pleasing on the model.
Kate looks fantastic!!
The only thing I don’t like is the space for the boobs on the back
It looks great from the front though.
Is it just me or does this gown look a lot like both of these two?

There are some differences of course, but all three are gold, floor-length, and have similar sequins/beading.
Considering how unappealing this gown looks on the model, I think it was either smart or a happy accident that Moss wore it as she did.
Not working back to front, and it feels too busy (and too bulky)
Fug look.
How clever! It looks great from the front, but weird from the back. Hair looks good too.
Kate Moss is my favourite style icon, I think she rocks this look! I love that she made it her own
