While I’m not Julianne Hough’s biggest fan, she pleasantly surprised me on the red carpet for ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ premiere, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Monday evening.
I’m surprised because I don’t dislike her Kaufmanfranco look, which features a jewel-encrusted illusion top and a silk sculpted tulip skirt accented with a black leather sash.
She looks really cool, without a hint of try-hard, which I’m usually turned off by.
This look has an edge which she punctuates with a punky quiffed updo.
An onyx Edie Parker clutch and oversized cocktail ring accessorizes her look, with a nude lip colour providing the finishing touches.

I like it in the close up (those eyes), but in the full shot the top half looks a bit too complicated for me.
Liking the hair better but the dress is awful, from the over-heavy neckpiece, the tacky sheer midriff, and the voluminous, too-long skirt. It’s another no from me for Julianne.
I really like the way she looks here)) everything is great for me
I don’t like this. The skirt looks awful and the upper part is too tight.
Somehow, I imagined this would be better with Miley Cyrus
Hair&make-up=Good
Silhouette = ok
Exposed bra=BYE
+1
I wish the hem of the dress was more flowy but I love the top part of the dress. She looks good in it.
She looks bad ass here. Love her makeup.
I went through the Julianne Hough archives and discovered you liked 8 looks of hers. That’s not so bad but not fantastic either. I think she is getting better.
Just no. I’m miles over the quiff coif, which I have yet to like on anyone. In this case, the streaks make it look as if her hair’s standing straight up – a fright wig! As well, the bodice has too much going on. All this is a pity, as she is obviously gorgeous.
I am so tired of exposed bras on the red carpet. Hopefully this trend dies soon. I like that she went a different way than usual, but can’t say I really like this look.
Amazing altogether. The skirt is a little ill-fitting however doesn’t take away how great she looks. Seriously, can’t get pass her piercing blue smoky eyes. Love her!
I totally love this.. she makes it work.. and her make up is gorgeous
I like this. I think Julianne looks best in edgy, modern looks that are still feminine and youthful – not sugary sweet or princessy.
I never noticed her beautiful blue eyes before the second shot. They are stunning!
I really like this, she took a risk and it paid off. I like Julianne in edgy looks.
