Gwen Stefani of No Doubt took to the red carpet with her band on Sunday evening in Frankfurt, Germany for the 2012 MTV European Music Awards.
The singer wore two looks custom made by Jean Paul Gaultier.
For the red carpet she wore a draped black satin look inspired by the Fall 2012 Couture collection.
The jumpsuit became a draped dress with a slit, which she paired with black shorts black knee-high boots and tights.
For Gwen’s performance it was pretty much all black again, as the singer donned a JPG Spring 2013 look featuring a classic double-breasted tuxedo jacket slashed across the chest which she styled with black shorts, both of which had white underlays.
Her performance was amazing: one of the few that appeared to get Kanye West’s seal of approval.
On my favourite of the two I have to go with the second look. I love the unique twist on the tuxedo.

I am not really liking the red carpet look. Her performance outfit is cute.
I agree with you, she looked a lot like Madonna, don’t you think? But I didn’t like their performance, I expected something more from their come back on the stage.
the performance look is great, the red carpet look not so much.
I’m not loving either look, but the second one does look good.
Eyeroll. Gwen’s style is rarely classy. Tacky.
The first look is so crazy I can’t make head or tail of it. Is the fabric coming or going? It’s even worse on the runway.
The second look–I like the white underlay and tux jacket but those tiny shorts, stockings, and boots read trashy to me.
Not wowed by either but I think I prefer the first look. The second works for a stage look.
I love both! Never thought that Gwen Stefani and Gaultier would mix but this works in so many ways! I’m neutral on the red carpet look. I guess it works only on those with the right attitude and let’s face it, Gwen can wear anything and still look good.
Like the performance look.
Hot mama! Love the performance look. So Gwen, so glam rock!
Oh my god the performance outfit is amazing. She looks like Fran Fine, I love it.
Really love her performance outfit
