Mindy Kaling is very hit-and-miss on the red carpet, but she redeemed herself at the 1st Annual Baby2Baby Gala, held at The BookBindery in Culver City, California on Saturday night.
She wore a pale pink Max Mara sleeveless crepe gown which nips her in at the waist and opens into a floaty chiffon skirt.
Wavy tresses, luscious lashes and a mauve lip colour helped perfect the look.
Mindy accessorized with silver jewels, a Rebecca Minkoff ‘Summer Python’ minaudiere and blue nail polish.

I see what they were going for, but this looks like a sack. The fit should be perfect for this to work, bit it is slightly off, it need to be a bit more form-fitting. The colour doesn’t help at all.

The colors of the dress is throwing me off too.
This is an improvment but I am still not that crazy about the dress on her. I wish this was all the same color.
She needed to brush her hair. It also makes her hips look bigger, although it has the effect of making her waist look smaller.
It’s not easy to dress her body type, and this design is an acceptable choice for her, although would’ve preferred it in a more saturated/darker slimming colour.
It’s a bit unflattering and I don’t like her hair either.

Her makeup is awful. She needs a matte face powder, her foundation makes her face look oily. I do watch her show and she does dress well on it.
Sadly, it looks like a beige Pac-Man is eating her chiffon-clad legs!
Looooove the clutch, I want it! Unfortunately this is not a flattering dress for Mindy.
