Amy Adams looked gorgeous Saturday evening when she took to the red carpet at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, for the 2012 AFI Fest permiere for ‘On The Road’.
The actress wore an adorably feminine Dolce & Gabbana strapless ‘Sera’ dress.
I absolutely love this floral frock on Amy.
It’s been a while since she wore something this fun, playful and youthful. The ‘50s prom silhouette is perfect for her.
Keeping her accessories to a minimum, she wore yellow diamond drop Bulgari earrings and black Roger Vivier ‘Cage’ strappy sandals.
Amy completed her look with a high bun.
Katy Perry and Lily Collins have also worn Dolce & Gabbana dresses with a similar silhouette and you may remember that Elisabeth Moss wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress with the same print to the Emmys last month.

Finally!!! I have been waiting for Amy to wow me of late……she just hasn’t done it. She needs to go for more playful looks in the future as this does wonders.
Granted, I would like it a tad shorter, but still
Well I dunno, she looks like she’s on her way to bring her sheeps back from the mountain before winter sets in
LOL I’m with you on this one.
This is a bit too Winterfell shepherdess Couture for my taste.
+2 can’t stop giggling. You nailed it, Manuel.
What a way to ehm start a monday morning, awww.
adorable is all i can say about this look.
On anyone else her age this could have gone really wrong, but Amy pulls it off beautifully in my opinion. This is probably one of my favorite looks from her this year. I love the print and silhouette, and the shoes are a great touch.
I’m so glad she wore her up her normal hair down look would have ruined what is possibly the best look she has had this year if not ever
She looks cute.
I love this. I am really wowed. The thing that makes this is the hair. I like how she wore it up.
How very SJP circa SATC of her, hair and all but less the accessories
it really suits her though!
It is cute, but I am not loving her hair. Down or half up half down would have worked better for me
My complaint is her hair too, I don’t really like it. Everything else is great though.
Much prefer this kind of sweet girly silhouettes on someone much younger. The dress works beautifully on Amy’s figure but it’s a bit “a mature woman playing dress up” for me.
I’m just marveling at how the dress hits knee-length on the model but almost ankle-length on Amy. She needs to have this shortened, otherwise it just overwhelms her. Also, perhaps a necklace would be nice?
Great look… but I dress were a tad shorter – just below knee length like it is on the model… or is it just the angle of the photo?
I totally love this. It’s so fun, which she normally doesn’t do! A delightful change of pace form her, figure-flattering, gorgeous print, and so well-executed that I’m giving her a BDOTW nom (super early, I know) despite the hair.
Yea! The dress, the hair, the shoes, the smile, everything says “fun”. Love it. Love it all.
I much prefer the, print in this silhouette as opposed to the silhouette of Elizabeth’s dress. Really love this look, it is fun, fresh and very pretty
Love the dress and Amy Adams, hate the hair and shoes.
