If Jessica Ennis was the face of the 2012 London Olympics, then Emeli Sande was the voice, providing the soundtrack for our summer and performing at both the opening and closing ceremonies.
I was not surprised that she collected the ‘Musician of the Year’ award at the Harper’s Bazaar Woman of the Year Awards, held at Claridge’s Hotel in London on Wednesday evening.
Like Jessica, she wore a British designer, opting for a Preen Fall 2012 dress.
Her long-sleeve dress, instantly recognizable by the colourful moth print, has a green trim on the soft-point collar and cuffs.
I would’ve preferred this dress had it been knee-length and if Emeli had opted for footwear which didn’t look like short Uggs.

dont mind the length but the footwear is a big fat NO!
+1!
Ugly dress and shoes. Lovely hair and makeup.
Totally agree about the styling FC, shorter length and better shoes are needed here.
Bizarre. Why would anyone pick these shoes?
As we can see, the same person who picked such an ugly dress…
Like the dress not with the shoes.
Head to toe, there is nothing about this look I like.
Dreadful from h2t indeed – the matronly dress, the ugly booties, the tacky hair and makeup…all of it
Well summed up. I loathe the whole thing–the jarring green trim is bothering me as well.
The hair is so tacky and the boots are ridiculous. All-around ugly.
One word: UGLY. Her and Adele are very beautiful besides being talented YET they ALWAYS dress like old ladies
that dress is amazing. I love the prints that Erdem uses
