Karolina Kurkova was in Berlin, Germany, yesterday evening for the Prix Montblanc 2012 at the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt.
The supermodel wore a Carlos Miele Spring 2013 gown.
Her beige gown has satin strips appliquéd to a tulle sheer bodice and a flowing chiffon skirt.
Karolina is a beautiful woman, but her supermodel powers are on the fritz as this gown totally washes her out.
Maybe the gown isn’t totally at fault; maybe the dark gothic makeup isn’t helping things.
Either way I’m not at all fond of this look. She can do so much better.

Hmm…this is one occasion I don’t see eye to eye with FC. I think she looks beautiful and I like it better on her than on the runway model.
Totally agree FC. This dress is stunning on the model but the colo r on karolina makes it lose all its appeal. Just goes to show how important color and tone is. What a shame….
I like the dress on the model’s skin tone better, but don’t think this is a disaster on Karolina. I think she looks pretty.

Can’t help but wonder how this dress would have looked on Naomie Harris.
We all know she can shut the house down but every model have their off day. This look is washing her out. Must be the makeup or the dress.
Honestly, I don’t even care that she looks washed out. It’s just a matter of lighting. She & the gown are gorgeous! Now THIS is the fantasy-prom look done right. Not over-the-top, but romatic and beautiful and timeless.
I would love this dress if it didn’t have that tacky peekaboo cutout. The skirt is gorgeous. On Karolina, it does was her out a bit. I think it has something to do with the makeup, and also the lighting. If this dress was a rich royal blue that would be so much better for her.
