Of all the stars to take to the red carpet for the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala honoring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick on Saturday evening, Amber Valletta gave us the most dramatic look.
The supermodel wore a haltered look from Gucci’s Fall 2012 collection featuring a green floral print, a black velvet waistband and ruffles which cascaded down her back.
A slick back ‘do and bold red lips only added to the dramatic nature of this look.
Jennifer Meyer emerald double stick earrings and a black clutch provided the finishing touches.

Not really feeling this dress.
The ruffles overwhelm the bust area a bit and her hair is a bit too severe but nice overall.
“The ruffles overwhelm the bust area” Totally agree.
The ruffles are too much and the belt is stumpifying…
There should be bangs too.
I can’t get past the forehead (or fivehead??) going on here. She looks 1,000,000 times better with a fringe (like in Revenge) or if she’s going to wear it up it should be softer off the face. If I put my thumb over that though I love the make up and the dress from the back but the ruffles over the chest, not so much.
She does not have the hairline to pull off a slicked back look. Otherwise this is a great look.
I agree with you, her forehead is too high, so this hairstyle is not the most flattering. The dress is beautiful but it seems that there’s too much fabric on the chest, I agree with FC, but with another hairstyle it would be a really great look.
Love the dark colors but that’s it–harsh hair, unflattering gown, not enough bust support…
Loved the dress on the runway but I don’t think it has translated well and I don’t think the styling works. The look needed a darker lip
Love the dress, but it dwarfs her.
