Brooke Shields took to the red carpet last night for the 2012 Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala, held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
She looked stunning wearing an Angel Sanchez Spring 2012 gown. Frankly we don’t see enough of this designer on the red carpet.
I love the lilac and yellow which makes up this beautiful embroidered silk crepe gown with a chiffon cape and open back.
The bright yellow clutch may seem obvious, but it works perfectly with this look.
A wavy updo provided the finishing touches.

Not liking this dress on Brooke.
+1 – it’s every bit of wrong
love the dress but it looks horrible on her.. she cheapens it with that orange tan. i think it needs a slimmer, more pale and statuesque woman like Cate Blanchett or perhaps a younger girl like Elle Fanning or Dakota Fanning would look beautiful in the dress
+1. I couldn’t agree more. The fit around the bust is all wrong. Cate would have rocked this look.
Not a fan of the dress and her hair style makes her look about 100 years old.
I don’t like the dress or hair on Brooke.
I agree.
I like the color combo
I love it! It’s much morefun for Broke than she usd to dress. I even think this could be a BDOTW.
This dress works for someone with a cool skin tone (like the model). Shields has a warm skin tone and it brings out its yellow shade, which is not very flattering.
The boob area seems weird and the hairstyle is too messy.
Too bad, she’s is a very pretty woman with a great body. It shouldn’t be hard to build her a great look.
I like it from the neck down. Her hair is horrible.
The aging hair and tan are the only things that don’t work for me.
Without those two mistakes, this would be a BDOTW worthy look.
The dress (sans sheer bodice insert, which throws off the clean lines) is gorgeous and unexpected, but I’m afraid I don’t like on Brooke. When I think of this on Cate Blanchett…I do love the yellow clutch and wish that she hadn’t ruined it with the hair and the tan.
wow that hair is weird and scary and just wrong. it makes her look cheap and old.
I really like the combination of lilac and yellow. Not too sure about the hair, but overall I think she looks lovely.
lovely dress! weird hairdo
