Still sporting sleek, straight locks, Solange Knowles attended the Angel Ball 2012 held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening.
The singer/DJ donned a Badgley Mischka Fall 2012 dress.
As you know, I love Solange, but I don’t love this black jersey gown with gold-and-silver beaded details.
Mixing metals aside and even with the plunging neckline this look feels like it ages Solange drastically.
Hopefully this is just a temporary blip, or maybe the secret to her success is her ‘fro.
Red lips, gold studded earrings and a white-and-gold Edie Parker clutch completed her look.

At first I thought it was Rachel Roy.
I love it when Solange doesn’t wear the fro, as it can distract from her look. The fro works for her more funky, fashion-forward looks.
I don’t like this look either, even though I love Solange.
No one is perfect [even Queen Cate- remember her Givenchy and Fendi looks? Eek].

I don’t liked the dress on the runway and, yes it ages her a bit but I actually like the dress better on her… It looks sexier; I love the styling. She looks kinda FIERCE to me (Regal) dare I say.
The dress is definitely aging her and the hair isn’t helping make her look younger either.

Not a good look for her, it does age her esp. teamed with the matronly sleek center-parted hairstyle, and also widens and stumpifies her, not to mention the distracting boobage.
This look like something Beyonce would wear – that’s not a good thing.

Ugh. No. Manages to be tacky/overly revealing and matronly at the same time. That plus the Frida Kahlo hair…just makes it bad.
This is bad, esp from neck up. This is as if she was on her way to that one-and-only, je-ne-sais-quoi Sade, but lost steam, broke down, detoured and stopped at … oh, I dunno … your neighborhood psychic lady Miss Cleo or Michael Jackson in the “You’re Not Alone” video.
