It turns out that there was more than one case of déjà vu from the Royal Wedding celebrations this weekend; four in fact.
The Royals guests dressed in Chanel Couture, Matthew Williamson and Elie Saab, had each worn a look seen on the red carpet once before.
Who wore it better?
Princess Caroline of Monaco (prefer her accessories), Princess Zeina of Jordan (prefer the dress in red) Vanessa Paradis (prefer her sheer version) and Doutzen Kroes was a very easy choice.

at least they bought their own clothes, what’s the matter?
There is nothing the matter…geez does there have to be a reason for each post.
Please just take it in the fun manner in which is was intended. This is for entertainment purposely only…*sighs* hopefully those with a sense of humour will understand that.
Wow, some people are just intent on complaining about every little thing, and in this case what on earth is there to complain about? I actually came to comment on what an expectedly delightful post I found this to be. It actually shows dedication on the part of FC not to just blindly post fashion, but the fact that she thinks outside of the box to give us snapshots like this. Thank you FC, and please do not be daunted by these posters who are popping up these days to criticise everything (the post with Lara Bingle and the blinged-out ear-piece comes to mind).
thanks Lara. Your comment has put me back in a good mood
+1 That’s what I love about this blog.. Fcs passion and her ability to ID dresses
thank you kindly xxx
I love this post! It’s fun!
thank you x
ooh princess caroline of monaco, catherine, princess caroline of monaco and doutzen kroes for me.
really like the catherines grey version with the green stones.
Diane and Vanessa lose here, i dont like their hair styles. All the royals look really gorgeous.
I wish Zeina’s dress had contrasting stones instead of red ones. And the ones around the collar are missing too. Too bad, because I love the colour of her dress.
Doutzen was totally unforgettable in this green gown.
Vanessa Paradis’ acessories are terrible, although I also like her sheer version.
Caroline in Chanel is a win for me.
Chanel Couture: Princess Caroline
Matthew Williamson: Catherine
Chanel Couture: Vanessa Paradis
Elie Saab: Doutzen Kroes
I prefer the Duchess’ version of Matthew Williamson’s dress. I love the color and I think the turquoise embellishments are beautiful.
Diane, Zeina, Princess Caroline and Doutzen wore it better.
it more like…who paid and who borrowed
I don’t mind repeats by certain people and of certain dresses. If it was a memorable moment the first tiem around, Idon’t think that it should be repeated, but because this was a private function, I think that repeating even the couture pieces and gowns was fine.
I agree with wwib, but I will still remember the original looks. Also, I think that The green Elie Saab dress looked gorgeous both times in different ways.
seems like you chose the young ones over the old ones…
Did you read the post?
Princess Caroline of Monaco is older than Diane Kruger, but whatever….
All bottom row except for the Chanel gown (third from left). Diane dressed it down, Kate’s gray version of the dress make the cuff embellishments stand out more, the Princess’ jewlery is stunning, and Doutzen was an easy choice as you said.
Agree except for the choice of Vanessa Paradis – Princess Caroline wore it better methinks.
All the women at the top win easily for me. I’m actually surprised I prefer the royals (minus Kate).
The entire bottom row wore it better. The Matthew Williamson dress does not work in red.
Hey FC, you are unbelievable ! Its amazing how you can remember “who wore this before”. Good post !
it wasn’t just me….some readers remembered too.
Top row for all four! The green one I’m on the fence about, so that one could really go either way.
I love all the royals in the top row. and no its not because they bought their dresses.
I prefer Catherine’s version of the Matthew Williamson dress and liked the Elie Saab on Doutzen better. I preferred both Chanel looks on the Princesses. I can’t believe that people are complaining about this post and FC’s choices – how about appreciating the effort put it and respecting people’s opinions.
Thanks Jess2.
I don’t understand why some people want to suck the fun out of everything
Wow, lots of drama going on here–for no reason at all. I love posts like this so kudos per usual to FC <3.
For me, Princess Caroline wore it better than Diane Kruger because of her accessories…
I love Zeina's red dress, but Catherine's jeweled neckline wins for me.
Princess Caroline wins on the second Chanel because I don't like the dress at all and definitely don't like it sheer–plus I appreciate her regal presence in it.
Finally, Doutzen wins for keeping the look cleaner.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Princess Caroline beats both Diane and Vanessa. She looked amazing! The royals never look better than us commoners. But this is an exception. Middleton and Doutzen win easily. Middleton is only royalty by association, so she’s no wonder among the good-looking
Celebrity time, Excited on fashions, especially in these brilliant charming dress. Never was there ever someone else so beautiful.
Princess Caroline Stunning as always! Couture or casual , an inspiration to every woman. Just found this site, what a pleasure, and all those back posts, heaven! Treasure trove …
