Cameron Silver’s ‘Decades: A Century of Fashion’ Book Party

Many stars gathered at Chateau Marmont’s Bar Marmont in Hollywood, California on Friday evening for Cameron Silver’s ‘Decades: A Century of Fashion’ book party hosted by Marina B.

Tracee Ellis Ross: She may have been decked out in all black, but the peplum detail, gold dangling earrings and green and yellow statement earrings keep me very interested.

Marisa Tomei: The actress’ love affair with British designers continued as she wore an Erdem Fall 2012 look. Her purple and black dress with an overlay bodice was styled with black pumps.

Liz Goldwyn: The stylist to the stars wore a Jonathan Saunders Resort 2013 grey floral print dress we have seen on Bella Heathcote.

Dita Von Teese: The burlesque star wore a black velvet vintage dress from the Yma Sumac collection, with Marina B jewels and a black clutch and pumps. This is a very classic, elegant look from Dita, which is to be expected.

Kristin Davis: The actress donned a vintage Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture from Decades with Marina B jewelry and black accessories, opting for a fresh faced look.

Ashley Madekwe: Rounding out a quartet of celebs wearing LBDs, the ‘Revenge’ star wore a vintage Pauline Trigere from Decades accented with brooch details and styled with a black clutch and two-tone Christian Louboutin ankle strap peep-toes.

Ah, Pauline Trigere. So elegant and ladylike. And I like Kristin Davis’ look but it needs some color–red clutch and more interesting shoes.

Ashley is by a very long way my favourite. I love her dress, I love the red lip and a loooove the shoes. To me it is the perfect blend of modern and vintage.

    Tracee for me.
Nice to see Kristin Davis in something sexier rather than sweet fit-and-flare. It’s a good look for her, just wish she’d opted for a sexier sandal.
I find Ashley’s striped shoes absolutely jarring and out of place.

Not loving any of these looks.

All of them are meh except Liz. Marissa’s pumps are so ugly.

FC who are Liz Goldwyn’s clients? I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything.

That Pauline Trigere is GORGEOUS. Just goes to show that a truly beautiful dress will always look modern.

Despite the black, I love every look but Marisa’s, which is a bit clownish. Ashley is my favorite.
