In an attempt to defy her teenage years, Elle Fanning looked very regal when she hit the red carpet at the Odeon West End for the 2012 London Film Festival ‘Ginger and Rosa’ premiere on Saturday evening.
Even the rain couldn’t dampen her parade as she looked gorgeous wearing a Rochas Resort 2013 floral print colourful gown with a sheer yoke and lace neckline.
This is a surprisingly weather-appropriate look for a Resort dress, especially as she wisely kept the mint green cardigan, as worn in the look book, (which I thought was a cape at first) thrown over her shoulders.
Long blonde straight locks, which, unlike her sister, she switches up from time to time, completed her look.

J’adore the dress with the model’s reddish hair. The dress looks like it might be strapless, w/o the yoke and lace choker, which I would also prefer. But I’m not sure since the model’s pose obscures the neck. Mixed feelings about this on Elle.
Adorable look, I love how the cardigan kind of downplays the gown. The only thing I would change is the lace neckline, I would have preferred the dress to be simply strapeless, but overall this is really pretty
Very pretty outfit. Elle looks lovely
LOVE it!
Wow!!! I love this look. Wish the model had a different pose so I could appreciate it more. Looks darling on Elle. Could do without the necklace but overall its sweet and whimsical.
Love her face, love the dress, but I’m still not sure about the choker and that green cardigan/cape/whatever that thing is seems kinda out of place.
I agree. Although the colour combination is fantastic, the cardigan seems too casual for such a gown. And that choker, what’s up with that? It doesn’t add anything and it looks like a bandage. But I also loveeeee the dress, hair and makeup.
She looks lovely. I’m not always a fan of what she wears, but this is great.
I raelly like this look.
I love it! She looks amazing. BDOTW contender, IMO.
Totally BDOTW worthy. Love!
I’m a bit against how much this isn’t age appropriate, but god does she look awesome. Love it.
BDOTW worthy for me, too! Elle looked regal yet fresh – absolutely stunning. The necklace was unnecessary but it didn’t hurt the look. She just has so much more of a presence than her sister. Dakota always comes across as lacking confidence to me. Elle just seems so comfortable in her skin.
Agree to every word. I love this, and think it is BDOTW worthy! P.S. Don’t like the choker but other than it’s great.
I find it costumey.
The dress is beautiful and looks good on her but that choker is beyond hideous and should be burned.
The cardigan is doing nothing for her either. A long jacket or cape would’ve been better.
To be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of her looks but this one gets a thumbs up from me! I love everything about it (except maybe that choker thingy), I even like the cardigan. This is definitely BTODW worthy
On one hand, this is undoubtedly one of Elle’s best looks. The dress suits her and makes her look very tall, and her hair & makeup are fresh and age-appropriate. On the other hand, I’m not sure what’s going on at the neck but it’s distracting. There had to have been a better way to wear that cardigan too, it just looks careless and sloppy with the gown.
Not many people would pull this off as effortlessly as she does, but I just wish her hair was a tad shorter. I still love this look nonetheless.
I think the dress is cute and super appropriate for this premiere. I like it!
I think this is BDOTW worthy. She looks regal!
Love! Love! Love!
