Prior to her performance at BET’s Black Girls Rock 2012 event held at the Paradise Theater in New York City on Saturday evening, Ciara took to the red carpet.
The singer, who is no stranger to the works of Riccardo Tisci, wore a Givenchy Spring 2013 look — the first look from this collection to hit the red carpet.
Her masculine layered all-black look, save for the white sandals, isn’t a look I would’ve selected for Ciara (I would’ve gone with look 33), but I think she manages to pull it off.
She’s done the slashed to the thigh mini dress a million times over, so this look is an interesting change of pace.

Yes, it should have been. And frankly, it should never have been PUT on the runway in the first place!

I see that she is trying to switch it up-good for her-but this is not a good look. She tried but failed.
The hair look severe.
I’m thinking this look would be a man repeller, lol. But I kinda like it. Or maybe I just like that she’s experimenting. She has a beautiful figure but she doesn’t have to show every inch of it each time out.
She just can’t pull this off!
She tries so hard to be “high fashion” but she always seems to come up short. This just doesn’t feel like Ciara.

Kuddos for her to take risks. But, if I get this dress, as a normal person, i would never ever wear it.

I wasn’t a fan of the layered skirt-trouser look on the runway and I’m not of if it on Carine or Ciara on red carpet. While the model just about pulls off the exaggerated shoulders on Ciara it just makes her look really broad. Look 33 could’ve been cool.
I actually think she’s wearing part of the outfit wrongly. That first flap that comes out the bottom of the jacket shouldn’t be there.
