Leighton Meester and Blake Lively were spotted shooting scenes for ‘Gossip Girl’ in Central Park yesterday.
Like many of you, I checked out of ‘Gossip Girl’ midway through last season, but this sighting has given me a reason to consider watching the show again (or at least this episode).
That’s because Leighton was wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2012 gown.
Her light blue long-sleeved embellished floral appliqué gown with an open neckline and cinched-in waist accented with tonal waistband was styled with a diamond-encrusted leafy tiara and turquoise earrings.
You may recall that Katy Perry wore a similar gown from the same collection to the Grammy Awards earlier this year.

I checked out of the show when Dan and Blair started to happen but I might check it out again now since Chuck and Blair seem to be the endgame.

Wonderful ! This blue suits her really well ! Yao Xing Tong also wore this gown, at Cannes Festival (http://backseatstylers.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Yao-XingTong-in-Elie-Saab-Couture-at-Cannes-Film-Festival-2012.jpg) but I think Leighton’s neutral make-up work better, even if she added some sparkle via her earrings/tiara combo.

Because I usually get sense of eja vu I don’t get as excited about Elie Saab dresses as I did in 2011 and 2010, and I don’t get as excited about Leighton posts because she isn’t as amazing as she was in 2011 and 2010, but this is pure perfection. She looks stunning in the dress, I might watch this episode too, but honestly Gossip girl has been pretty awful since the Prince storyline started.
Must say i checked out when they brought back Bart Bass from the dead. That was very The Bold and the Beautiful of them. But I’m considering watching this final season.
Anyway back to the topic – Leighton looks divine. I would love to see this look on the red carpet.

She looks great here. Agreed with the comments about her hair as well – the last couple of seasons her hair had been looking awful. I will also watch the last season just to see how they tie it all up.
I stopped watching Gossip Girl a loooong time ago, but this is certainly a reason to watch this episode, because Leighton looks fabulous.
