Jennifer Garner attended the ‘Argo’ screening at Regal Gallery Place Stadium in Washington, D.C., yesterday evening.
The actress wore a Roberto Cavalli gown for the occasion.
Unfortunately Jennifer is not selling this ruched teal mermaid gown with a central ruffle and black lace detailing to me.
Had she removed her hair from behind her ears, or thrown it up into an updo, opted for smoky eyes and added a bold lip colour, I may have been swayed to like this look.
As it is, the overall presentation is a bit boring, which is almost a blasphemous thing to say about a Cavalli gown.

I agree. Jennifer Garner is her worst here: so meh and mumsy.

+2 with gym hair.
hate the lace detail it looks as if she has a top under the dress which is distracting. but other than that the dress looks great just needs more oomph.

Dont mind the hair or the dress but I wish she wore more make up
The only thing I love here is the colour of the gown, which is lovely.
She always seem to lack something in the makeup and hair department.

I agree her styling could have been improved A LOT. But it’s not exactly the most riveting dress around to begin with….
I agree–about both the styling and the dress. Looks like she got ready in a big hurry.
Not a good look.
She looks like she just threw it on, and pushed her hair behind her ears. Very little makeup and no jewelry, why bother with a Roberto Cavalli gown? Shame as the colour is nice but not really his best work.
I agree. She should have done something better with her hair and make-up.
The least sexy any Cavalli gown has ever looked! Why bother if you’re not going to “work” it (like Jlo, Rihanna, KPerry etc)?!
This is probably her worst look in these past days. Although I don’t mean bad by saying ‘worst’, just that this isn’t as exciting as the others.
Sad–because I love the color and would have loved the dress without that odd, tacky lace insert. Also, I wish that she had more presence in it and better styling.
I think that most of the times Cavalli’s dresses need simple styling, because they easily become OTT, but her styling is too simple, it makes me think of somebody who simply tried the dress on at home. Hair and make up are too simple, she has no accessories… Is still Rachel Zoe styling her? Because if she is, it doesn’t show.
