Here are six more looks from the celebration of Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection, created by Gabrielle Chanel, in New York City yesterday evening.
January Jones: After knocking it out of the fashion ballpark at the Emmys, I’m deeply disappointed by January on this occasion. Between the ghostly makeup, low bandeau and the off-white maxi skirt, the best way to sum up this Chanel Fall 2008 Couture look would be “a hot mess”.
Leigh Lezark: It was left to the DJ and FROWer to bring some glamour to proceedings. Leigh looked stunning wearing a black net Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 gown with PVC embroidery which was styled with a matching bolero with a high neckline. A Perspex clutch, a simple updo and barely there makeup save for kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.
Julie Henderson: The model looks divine wearing a Chanel Spring 2012 pale pink dress with pearl accents and a feathered skirt. The nude pumps are predictable and sadly the eggplant clutch is an eyesore.
Rinko Kikuchi: The Asian actress is another regular at Chanel events. She wore a cute light blue drop-waist Chanel dress with dark blue beaded embroidery around the waist and floral accents on the shoulders. It’s moments like this I’m thankful for a black carpet.
Jessica Pare: January’s ‘Mad Men’ co-star didn’t fare much better. This navy tweed Chanel dress ages her drastically. If she was going to opt for such a high neckline, she should tie all of her hair back. What happened to the girl who stunned us at the Emmys?
