Solange Knowles brightened up the red carpet at the ‘Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007′ screening at MOMA in New York City yesterday evening.
Always one to be daring on the red carpet, the singer wore an Twenty8Twelve look.
Her pink short suit with folded details was styled with a checked Preen top, which complemented her Nicholas Kirkwood bow front sandals.
I also adore her Charlotte Olympia Perspex clutch with a fun Union Jack pouch.
Whilst I love the look, which has so many interesting elements, I am slightly bothered by the front zipper on her short. I wish it was place at the back or been a lot less visible.

Ugh, Solange is so perfect. <3 I'm actually obsessed with her style.
I rarely (if ever) dislike how Solange puts pieces together but on this occassion I don’t like either the checked top or competing sandals or her clutch that feels completely out of place and is also competing with the top and sandals.
So cute, the zipper is bothersome. Her accessories are fab. FC i sent you this article about her stylists by tweet, you probably already know them but just in case

I’ve become a huge Solange fan in the last year or so but I’m not crazy about this particular look. As FC said, the too-visible zipper is off-putting.
I adore the shoe choice but the Union Jack bag — cute enough by itself — is inexplicable to me. It doesn’t complement the outfit and only adds fussiness and distraction.
I like the basic idea and this could have been a great look but it falls short.
Yes! I couldn’t figure out what was slightly off for me. I thought it needed a solid top but now blocking out the clutch I see a a more complementary clutch was wanted.
From “trying too hard” to “effortlessly amazing”, Solange should be in charge of Beyonce’s style.

Exactly–that is my only complaint–love this crazy-good look otherwise.
Love the shoes, love the clutch, but they are too busy together. And I hate the rest of the outfit–those shorts are killing me.
