Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Carnegie Hall 2012–2013 season opening night gala at Carnegie Hall in New York City yesterday evening.
She wore an Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 tweed print gown.
You would be forgiven for thinking that this gown is a tad laidback for an opening night gala, but on closer inspection the blue, black and white scoopneck dress is decorated with silver embroidered details for a touch of sparkle, making it perfectly appropriate for an evening do.
SJP accessorized with a Pierre Hardy clutch, which thankfully isn’t a crossbody bag, and Fallon jewelry including a ‘Classique’ crystal collar and bracelet.
Signature wavy ombre locks and silver jewels provided the finishing touches.

I do think she over accessorized, but I´m always amazed at how she is a master of her own proportions.
She’s a master of ruining beautiful gowns with awful coats/blazers/jackets. I don’t even want to think about the one she has on her arm over the dress….. just NO..
I agree though that she over accessorized plus the clutch seems way too casual. On the bright side, her dress, makeup and hair made me swoon. She should make blue her “official colour”. I’m tempted to give her a spot on my BDOTW list.

The dress itself is gorgeous but with the lame hair, poor styling are doing it for me.
I love this on her, the colour is beautiful and it is very classic SJP when she wore that gorgeous Halston sand pink dress with the same shape, it is great on her. I like how she accessorises as it is her style and she has so much to choose from, she throws it all on, usually it works. Her makeup is more natural too which is like.
I just love her,just needed another clutch,this one not working,looks to casual.other then that blue is def her color,she looks beautiful.maybe she is not perfect,and she tends to over accessorise,but to me she in her own way gets away with it,if you know what I mean.she has that special something,at least IMO.
Gorgeous dress that would be BDOTW-worthy for me if she hadn’t OD’d on accessories. Her hair goes well with it but not the overwhelming necklace and clutch.
