Penelope Cruz In Vintage Versace – ‘Venuto al Mondo’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Penelope Cruz lit up the red carpet for the premiere of her movie ‘Venuto al Mondo’ which was held during the 60th San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain yesterday evening.

Saving her best look of the day to last, the Spanish beauty looked sensational wearing her second vintage Gianni Versace gown this month.

The red strapless pleated silk gown with a stitched silk satin bustline was styled with a Ferragmo gold-and-red enamel minaudière and red Ferragamo strappy sandal from the Red Carpet Collection.

Her toenails may have been red, but she opted for a dark pink lip colour.

Side-swept locks provided the finishing touches to her sensational look.

I thought she looked amazing – and I was willing to look past the comb-over hair style – until I got to the shoes. Why must so many actresses wear clunky clodhoppers?!? Especially when the dress is not long enough to cover them up and the exposed platform becomes a focal point!

    Boo

Beautiful dress, beautiful color and beautiful shoes. Ugly hairstyle and make up so I don’t like it.

    AMAZING! Gianni forever.

Love it from head to toe, she looks divine, though I don’t like her hair from the back.

I think the dress is amazing, but I don’t like it on her. I don’t actually love this one from Penelope.

    STUNNING!!

She looks great, but wish the dress were long enough to cover her shoes, or a non-platform strappy heels would be better.

+1. I love the entire look minus the shoes

Iagree, It stops at a weird length.

when, oh when, will stylists and celebs realize that not only do platform heels only belong on strip club stages, but they can drastically affect the appearance of a dress, making them look too short (here), reducing, exaggerating the effects of a train, etc. Make it stop! Please!

I really can’t conceive this as a beautiful dress. It looks like she has a towel covering her body. And the hair really doesn’t help the “after shower” vibe. If anything at least now we get a glympse of how she looks like when she leaves the bathroom after a shower/bath.

      +1000.

I don’t like the dress and I’m not convince its shape is the best for Pe. She has such a lovely figure and dresses like this make her to look with the shape of a barrel.

      I agree 100%.

The hair ruins this otherwise fantastic look, imo.

I am probably the only person to think that… but I don’t like her style!!
Here the hair are terrible and completly ruin the look!! and the dress is not long enough!
    :(

It seems that she is leaving the bathroom with towel tied in her body.

FC seems to love every vintage versace look from penelope…I personally think it looks cheap and like she has a towel wrapped around her. it doesn’t hug her figure nicely either

Love the color and the accorion pleats, but wish that the dress was longer. The shoes would be great if they weren’t platforms. Still this is pretty on her.

The shape and draping of the dress is really bothering me. Like someone said above, she looks like she has a towel wrapped around herself. It’s not very flattering, and the length is slightly awkward. It would’ve been better a little shorter (at ankles) or a little longer (covering up her pumps).
