Lucy Liu gave us an uber-glam look on the red carpet for the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.
The ‘Elementary’ actress sparkled wearing a silver Versace Fall 2012 gown.
Her structured strapless gown composed entirely of round chainmail links with a fitted metal bodice was a bold, futuristic look for Lucy.
Lorraine Schwartz earrings plus Giuseppe Zanotti metallic sandals and matching tube clutch by the same designer accessorized her look.
A simple side-swept ponytail and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.

Wow, the dress showcases the hourglass figure I did not know she had! I wondered how such a dress would be styled on the RC and I like how Lucy did it.
Finally a Versace dress worn by someone who really deserves it! I love Lucy Liu even in her Atelier Versace during the party after the Emmys but this one is so cutting edge and unexpected. Thanks for posting FC.
She looks gorgeous. Maybe a tad matchy-matchy but still very good. I love how she kept the style simple with discreet accessories so the dress could shine on its own. I also love how she didn’t try to match her makeup with the dress colour. Very much deserving of a place among the best dressed.
I can’t say I’m blown away, but she does look marvelous.
Wow!She wears it better than the model! She’s actually making it look classy-i would have never expected to say that for this particular dress…Head to toe beautiful!
I don’t like this dress as much on the model as she is walking, but on Lucy it is fabulous!! She really pulls this dress off beautifully. I would think this would have been hard for her being so petite, but I’m loving her in it. Beautiful!!
The model is Lindsey Wixson and I agree that she looks bad. In fact, she never looks good in anything. One of the most overrated models ever.
She looks gorgeous. I was watching E! and Zooey Deschanel came up after Lucy. Zooey’s tulle princess dress got caught up with Lucy’s chainmail. No damage though.
I saw that too! It was really funny but thankfully no dress was injured!
Wow! I love the dress and she wears it sooo well!
In my opinion – BEST OF THE NIGHT by far
+1. The best Dress of the night!
That’s how you wear Versace!
Good job!
She looks edgy and glamourous. I love it.
She makes this gown work for her with impeccable fit and flawless elegant styling.
Double WOW. A rather risky choice for someone so petite, but Lucy certainly pulled it off. I think she looks fantastic.
This is one of my favorites of the night.
She never lets me down. The modernness of the dress was a change from many of the other dresses on the red carpet, it is divine on her, her hair is perfect and her makeup is gorgeous. It was way more stunnign on tv, and along with Ginnifer Goodwin was the most memorable of the night.
I also just have ot say that I refuse to believe that she is 43. Stunning.
Breathtaking! Her figure looks incredible in this dress!
Yes she looks almost unreal, she is sooo beautiful! Love her hair and styling. The only thing I dislike is her shoes, they are among the most hideous I´ve ever seen. But their purpose was maybe just to make her tall, not to be visible (they are nude, fleshlike mega-platform pumps).
Better than on the model! BDOTW
Her silhouette looks great and I love sexy, slighlty futuristic vibe. Reminds me of Diane K’s Vivienne Westwood look at Cannes.
Stunning.
I may be in the minority here but I do not like this on her.. The length of the gown is putting me off,, waist up i like it!
+1 I thought it looked too much like a costume and a bit OTT for the Emmy’s.
God, I love it so much. She’s my second favorite of the night, right after Nicole. She just looks stunning. She works this dress so amazingly well. And I love that she went for a ponytail.
She looks wonderful. Lucy is such a beautiful woman.
Not my style, but I would think it was kind of cool (and slightly reminiscent of Cate the Great’s Armani Prive some years back) if it weren’t so revealing. According to the FugGirls, it was totally sheer when she was moving.
It wouldn’t be a red carpet without Versace. The dress fits her perfectly and it’s very flattering.
