Maggie Gyllenhaal made a guest appearance on the ‘Today’ show this morning in New York City, to promote her latest film, ‘Won’t Back Down,’ where she plays a mother who aims to help a failing public school.
With the leaves on the trees behind her turning an autumn orange hue, the actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 dress.
Her cream lace dress with a capelet overlay was simply styled with taupe patent pumps and a red lip colour.
Signature wavy locks provided the finishing touch.

if she had worn red pumps to match her lips i would have died.
Effortlessly beautiful, I like it.
I love this warm gentle look, I always admire how quietly graceful and elegant she is and how she never needs to grab or demand attention she just commands it, love her!
The best she looked in a while.
Elegant, classy, do like her simple styling – no need for any other colour pops (bright lip is enough) or sparkle – it’s a simple ladylike look. But she really needs to watch her hunched back which is emphasized badly by the capelet overlay.
I absolutely love this! It is beautiful, and perfect for her. One of my favorite looks ever from Maggie!
Princess Chi Chi said it very well–quietly graceful and elegant. Other critics will probably call it a doily or something silly like that, but this is perfect for her. Love our Maggie!!!
Very pretty on Maggie and lovely hair and make up I never would have guessed this was Dolce. Nice to see the boys stepping out of their comfort zone.
Dowdy as always, my dear Maggie.
Gorgeous… I think it’s just the bad posture in this photo that’s letting her down.
Would loved this look even more with a better looking shoes.
I think it’s very interesting and pretty. I love how she’s so individualistic and edgy, kind of like Tilda Swanton.
