On Saturday I headed to Dover Street in London to see the newly opened McQ Alexander McQueen flagship store.

The store, which is spread over three floors covering 3,000 square feet, offers two floors of women’s wear and the menswear in the basement; it encompasses runway pieces, commercial pieces, footwear and accessories.

As you walk into the store, there is a digital table to your right which allows you to view the runway shows and look books plus there’s a feature which enables you to email pictures to yourself or friends.

The most fun to be had was the gesture-controlled mirrors on the first and lower ground floors. If you wanted to get your friends’ opinions on your McQ look, you can photograph yourself and then share with friends via social media channels or email.

There were so many pieces in store which I wanted to buy. In the end I took home the McQ Alexander McQueen lace ‘Griffin’ leggings which I can’t wait to wear with an oversized shirt and some heeled booties.
