Naeem Khan Spring 2013

Naeem Khan is known for his glamorous gowns, but for Spring 2013 he gave us a lot more.

The Moroccan-inspired collection included daywear and separates, which thankfully stayed true to the designer’s love for embellishments and timeless glamour.

First up was a collection of rose-print pieces followed by some interesting looks with mosaic white leather appliqués, plus we were also presented with some beautiful digital waves and fiery sunset prints.

We saw coats, shift dresses, strapless dresses, satin pants, off-the-shoulder tops and pocketed dresses before an array of red-carpet gowns took to the runway.

The majority of the gowns showcased the designer’s love for intricate embroidery and attention to detail, which had me on the edge of my front-row seat. I’m sure the likes of Kate Beckinsale and Michelle Obama are calling in their favourite pieces now.

The show concluded with a series of signature colourful beaded chiffon caftans, in marigold, coral, blue and nude. It was the perfect ending to the show and saw the designers receive yet another – well deserved – standing ovation.
