Rita Ora went for gold for the MTV Music Video Awards after-party in Los Angeles yesterday.
The British singer caused quite a stir at the event in this plunging trouser suit from Alexandre Vauthier’s Fall 2012 couture collection.
Rita has been on a style roller coaster this week, and not all of her looks have been that successful. There’s something about this gold ensemble, however, that seems to work.
Perhaps it’s because she’s matched it with the same Christian Louboutin shoes as worn by the model on the runway?
Rita’s definitely stayed away from too many accessories, which is a good thing, and the vintage-inspired hair and make-up suit her.

I don’t love it, but it’s definitely much better than her other looks.
That plunging neckline is leaving almost NOTHING to the imagination. Ugh. I really hate her style–the only look I have liked from her was her Stephane Rolland Couture look.
I TOTALLY agree Emma. She is ALWAYS tacky. There is ALWAYs something tacky about her look. Ugh.
It’s a very sexy bold suit and I’d like to see it on someone who would actually look sexy in it – on Rita it just looks cheap and tacky (esp. when teamed with the bleached hair and bold red lip), she needs to work on her presence.
She looks great! Thought it was Beyonce for a sec. It’s a lot of look and she pulled it off, plus the lighting and camera angle hit her at just the right spot.
