Julianne Moore was her usual sophisticated self at the premiere of ‘What Maisie Knew’ during the Toronto Film Festival last night.
The actress chose a tailored Alexander McQueen dress for the red carpet.
Julianne rarely puts a style step wrong – and here she’s stayed true to form.
The neckline is a little daring for a woman of her age, but it works. As does her natural hair and make-up.
Christian Louboutin ‘T-Spiga’ T-bar pumps, Eddie Borgo earrings and McQueen clutch are also welcome additions.

She looks breathtaking. I would’ve never thought black looks so amazing on her. BDOTW
She looks AMAZING!!!!
ps:i cant wait to see the movie!!
First time i leave a comment here, but Julliane Moore looks amazing. Definitely here less is more.
Great look, I love the shoulder and the neckline. I’m not crazy about the shoes, but I love the make up, and her hair color. She’s such a beautiful woman!
She looks gorgeous. I love her accessories.
I love that woman, always elegant and beautiful. She’s a model for the womens.
She looks beautiful from the ankles up. Those shoes are quite awful.
Gorgeous. The illusion panel in the decolletage really works well here. She looks very classy.
Her hair looks incredible.
Personally I think Julianne’s made a lot of steps wrong…her style can be very unpredicatable and doesn’t always flatter her. This look almost works, but that way too low neckline ruins it. Something underneath would have improved the look by a lot…but it is still rather boring and overly simple. I also hate the shoes.
In what way does the neckline ruin the look? Is it because of her age?
If so, I completely disagree. Overall – what is wrong with a woman of her age to be wearing such outfits?
The media spend a long time developing young woman (and teens) to portray themselves as independent, sexy women who aren’t afraid to show off their body… or, we could define it as taking advantage of their body for the purpose of marketing.
But once they reach 40 it almost blasphemy to be showing anything but below your knees. Not everyone wants to be Meryl Streep and cover every inch.
Julianne has a smoking body for a woman of ‘her age’. Why not flaunt it, especially in such a respectful and tasteful fashion.
Whilst I don’t always, if ever, agree with what Madonna wears or does – purely cause we don’t know if its her constant controversial behaviour for self-promotion. But I do give her major points for not being afraid of the media or haters or anyone for that matter to show what she has, even if some is plastic.
She has a hot body, full stop. Not just for her age.
Unsurpassable style. All class.
WOW! I love this!
GORGEOUS. So simple and so glamorous and sexy.
+1. I wish she had added a necklace though.
She looks absolutely amazing. Love the hair and make-up, and the neckline surprisingly works – it looks classy.
Words fail me, this is amazing! BDOTW for sure!!Make-up hair perfection!
‘a woman her age’? i think it is pretty age appropriate, she has that class to carry it off. I love your opinion and usually agree but that comment just doesn’t sit well. Would you prefer older women to be frumpy?
Agree. She is awesome, nothing to do with age. Many younger women look like tramps in plunging necklines.
+1
Bow!
What a beauty! What a stunning beauty!
