Elle Fanning In Miu Miu – ‘Ginger & Rosa’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Elle Fanning suited up for the ‘Ginger & Rosa’ premiere at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival.

For the event, the actress chose a trouser suit from the Miu Miu Fall 2012 collection.

The more I look at Elle in this outfit, the more I like it.

Sure she may be referencing The Joker from ‘Batman’ or (god forbid) Austin Powers, but she’s young and quirky and now’s the time to experiment.

I am grateful though, that she didn’t add the tie or eye makeup pictured in the runway look.

Instead Elle finished her ensemble with with long blonde locks, platform lace-ups and a dewy glow.

ugly on the model and ugly on elle, it looks as if she stole it from a pimp in the 70s. one piece would have been great but both not so much.

      +1 – trying too hard

I like nothing about this look. I find the style and the whole idea a bit too grown up for her age, plus it’s still summer and this is too much of a Fall look. The shoes are also ugly.
I much prefer it when she wears cute, age-appropriate dresses.

Not keen on this look at all, I agree with Robbie, I dont like it on the model and dont like it on Elle. It looks too much like fancy dress, im not even sure a half decent look could be salvaged from either of the pieces!

I’m sorry but this is just ridiculous….. The only thing I could save from here is the blazer.

I am in love with this look! it feels like she’s a walking fashion editorial (in a good way)!

    Young, fresh and fearless!

  10. Alina September 9, 2012 at 07:20 #

I like it! I don’t know why or how, but I like it!

Words can not express how much I hate those shoes. As for the rest of the look, I quite enjoy it.

She looks like a clown! Her hair and especially her makeup is also very bad.

I was gonna say that :) She does look like a clown. This outfit should be left on the runway as part of the show.

I hope this doesn’t come across rude, but I hate this look from head to toe.

When I first saw her at the picture I thought that she’s Andrej Pejic, so…

The overall effect is terrible, but could have been saved with a plain white shirt and some high-heels, plus better make-up and hair pulled back.

I appreciate that Elle is…experimenting…and this look isn’t unseemly or anything, but it is REALLY hideous.

  17. Taksi September 9, 2012 at 21:51 #

I’m in love with her style. Granted this is a look only someone 14 or 70 could get away with.

  18. justme September 9, 2012 at 22:33 #

Like you said, she’s at the right age to experiment with crazy outfits. So I’ll let this one slide :)

On one hand I like it on her, she si young and nothing wrong with trying new looks while you’re young. BUT on the other hand, it feels a bit costume-y gimmicky.

Finally! Someone who can make this Miu Miu weirdness work. I’m all for people doubling down on the crazy, rather than trying to temper it with neutral pieces. She adopted the silliness from neck to high water pants and good for her. Fashion needs moments like these.
