Nicole Richie dared to bare at the 9th Annual Style Awards at the Lincoln Center in New York City last night.
Opting for an all black ensemble she wore a super short, skin-shunning Anthony Vaccarello dress from the designer’s Spring 2012 collection, the reality-TV-star-turned-fashion-designer could’ve tipped the balance into trashy.
The sleek fringe and accessories, however, save the day. The strappy Costume National shoes match the spirit of the dress, while the understated clutch by Edie Parker and earrings by Nicole’s own label – House of Harlow – enhance rather than detract from the dress.
A high plaited bun, metallic eye make-up and Neil Lane jewels complete her look.

HATE the shoes, but the rest is great.
She looks HOT. But, those shoes just kill me. I think they’re hideous.
I think the shoes are too pointy maybe sandals would look better. Other than that she looks good. Hair and makeup are on point.

Today I saw a picture of K. Kardashian with a similar dress ( the long version), only a little more classy if such a thing is possible…Nicole remember the rule, legs & boobs = trashy!
I love the make up, hair and accessories but I have to say no to the dress. It doesn’t look well tailored to fit her small frame. And those shoes, no! They’re a bit outdated don’t you think?

That dress would work better in girl with smaller boobs..it doesn’t suit Nicole’s implants. Really dislike her hair and the shoes as well. I think her style has become… dated, somehow, and I used to love it.
I agree it is far from her best effort and for me it tips over into trashy. The dress just has too much going on–probably for anyone, but particularly for someone as small as she is. hare and makeup are okay, but she’s looked so much better on other occasions.
I’m afraid this is completely trashy. Short, super-revealing–it’s a mess. Quite inappropriate for any event! The shoes are ugly…the hairstyle isn’t working…I loathe everything about this.
