Actress Freida Pinto attended the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner while at the Venice Film Festival last night.
The Indian actress shied away from her favoured bright and neutral colours, opting instead for a black and gold Alexander McQueen gown.
The cut-outs on the ensemble artfully enhanced her svelte figure, though the pattern tended to engulf her frame as it travelled to the floor.
Freida completed her look with a simple up-do, rose lip and a watch – a nod to the host, perchance?

I really like this and I am glad she is taking more risks with her choices.
I really wish she had worn the runway belt.
+1
I think it looks stupid without the belt
I love it, but I wish she would have wear the belt.
I like this quite a lot, but I wish she kept the belt. It would mark her curves more and it would make it a bit edgier than it already is.
I hope she continues to mix up things
I am not felling this loom. I do not think that she does not have enough edge for this dress. Plus, she does not look very proportional
Love it. Glad she softened the edge by opting out of wearing that belt, it’s too rough. Her look is much softer without it which works better for her. Wouldn’t mind seeing this up for bdotw.
I like it without the belt, it avoided being predictable and I bet it would’ve weighed her down anyway.
I think I prefer the look with the belt. The cut outs look a bit weird without it.
Perfection. Maybe with the belt would have been better, but i love it just nonetheless
I like this look. Stunning!
i really wish she had worn the belt..it makes the look…
It was better with the belt (it covered up more of the tacky cutout), but I’m still not a fan of the dress. The style and pattern don’t work for me. Hair and makeup are pretty.
+1
I like it better with the belt, but she does look beautiful!
I prefer the dress with the belt, but I like the fabric. She looks beautiful as always, but this is not her best look, honestly.
I don’t think pulled this gown off, and I wish she’d worn her hair in a sleeker updo.
Love it !!! I am so excited to see that she chose this “sari inspired gown”…beautiful amalgamation of indian and western styles…
i like it a lot on her…interesting, even stunning….though not perfect…something off with the proportions….she just abut almost pulled it off
