Chinese model Zhang Zilin joined actress and compatriot Zhang Ziyi on the red carpet for the 2012 Bazaar Charity Night in Beijing, China, on Saturday evening.
Both women looked stunning in their heavily embroidered dresses. The similarities, however, ended there. Zilin’s Dolce & Gabanna Fall 2012 number, with its black and gold details, is all class, whereas Ziyi’s Georges Chakra gown is eye-catchingly edgy.
To complete her elegant look, Zilin opted for lace-embellished Dolce & Gabbana ankle boots, a satin clutch and large earrings. A simple updo and natural make up were the perfection additions.
I’m on the fence over which look I prefer. How about you?

Gorgeous. Another BDOTW contender.
This is a stunning elegant and classy dress. I only wish someone with a little more stature had worn it. The shoes are a big fail. Strappy gold sandals please
It’s amazing how much they look alike! Both are certainly gorgeous women but I think I prefer this look but like Zhang’s accessories more.
I’ll predict that at the end of the week, all of these BDOTW-worthy look filling your mind and you can’t pick just 10 looks.
Btw, to all the attendees at this event, I eventually pick this as my Best and Carinna Lau in second place.
Ouch–the shoes kill it.
I think I like this one more.
I prefer her because I like her dress better, I love the shoes and the make up.
Perfection! We so often bemoan the uninspiring shoes worn by celebrities, but here Zilin’s choice is spot on as the cut outs on her shoes reflect back on the embroidery of the dress. I love her choice of earrings as well. This is definitly my preferred pick of the two options.
I love this look, but to me Zhang Ziyi ‘s is more impressive, so I prefer hers.
I think this is one of the few times I’ve liked ankle boots with a dress.
Is this the first time this collection has been worn?
I dont remember anyone wearing from this collection…I absolutely love it <3
I like this look but Zhang’s dress is more breathtaking.
Ornate and elegant. I’m wishing that she had worn a simpler shoe, but it’s still a great look. I don’t know which I prefer–this or Ziyi’s.
