Clotilde Courau attended the 2012 Deauville American Film Festival opening ceremony on Friday evening.
The Princess of Venice and Piedmont was radiant wearing a Jil Sander Fall 2012 dress. It’s great to see this collection finally receiving more attention by celebrities.
Her pretty pink bustier dress with a gathered skirt was styled with matching pink platform pumps, with dazzling jewels including a spectacular cocktail ring.
A side-parted modern updo completed her breathtaking look.

What an amazing dress, she looks soooo elegant in it!
Its such a neat and clean look making her look stunningly elegant ! She got the length perfect too ! and love the hair updo

Not liking the shoes
beautiful soft balance to her tone upper body. Love the updo
What on earth has she done with that hem?! Dreadful. I prefer this color on a brunette. Beautiful dress — on the model.
Agree about the hem, tho I think the color looks fine on her. It ruins the flow of that fascinating hemline.
It is a lovely dress but what bothers me is that fold at the hemline. It isn’t there in the runway photo or the Luisa via Roma image.

I hate the shoes too. What happened to the hemline?
The shoes are ugly. Eugh.
The lady on her right was finely dressed too, who was she wearing?
I love this look until I get to the shoes. I do like them, and the way they match, but I feel they are too clunky for the look. I think delicate strappy sandals in a similar shade would be the way to go with this look.
Completely agree. Too clunky.
The dress is gorgeous, really and I like the shoes, too. The look would be perfect but the hem seems unfinished, you can see the sign of the iron, like the it was unsewed and lengthen! How can it be possible?
The hemline looks like it has become unstitched and falled open, but I suspect this is on purpose. It’s interesting. That combined with the shoes give this dress an edge.
“Fallen”, I meant to type has “fallen”. Arrgh!
wow, this translated so well onto a red carpet.
I love this dress on the runway.
I hate the shoes and whoever hemmed this dress should be fired; they did an awful job.
The top is a bit too bustier-like, but overall, the look is fresh and elegant. It looks so crisp and chic on the red carpet. She styled it well.
