Kate Waterhouse attended the 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty Launch at the Sydney Town Hall in Sydney, Australia, earlier today.
The socialite/Style and Fashion Editor for the Sun Herald opted for a Gucci Fall 2012 dress.
When you think Gucci, you don’t necessary think risqué, but Kate’s wine sheer silk dress with a deep back V-neck leaves little to the imagination up top.
Despite the floral embroidered details covering most of the dress, we can clearly note that Kate isn’t wearing a bra.
Does this put you off this look, or do you feel a little exposure never killed anyone?
A slicked-back bun, silver jewels and black ankle-strap sandals completed her look.

I’m much more concern by the lenght of the dress, which drags her down like crazy, then by the sheerness of the top. I actually like the sheer part and I think she’s suited for it since she doesn’t have a big bust.
I agree with you. I’ll never get this trend of unflattering length of skirts and dresses.
Completely agree. The length of the dress is so off ! I don’t mind the sheer as well. If this dress is worn with great styling, it will be quite sensual!
The sight of the bare breasts through the sheer top is off-putting, the length and the hairstyle make it look matronly – shorter length and sexier hairstyle would’ve helped. It’s a fail.
I agree.
I completely agree.
Gucci is not risque? FC, may I remind you of the following skin-baring Gucci dresses: Natasha Poly at Cannes 2012, the Spring 2011 colorblock collection, Evan Rachel Wood at the 2012 Golden Globes, Rosie Huntington-Whitely at the Fall 2011 Transformers Moscow premier.
In my humble opinion, I prefer this kind of exposure to that of Laetitia Casta’s sheer Dolce & Gabbana dress in Venice. This feels less vulgar, more sensual somehow. I like the length, even though it is quite a difficult one to pull off, but maybe this could’ve benefited from an even more delicate choice of footwear?
+1
The color is of the dress is nice but not liking the length.
Nothing interesting about this look
The sheer parts are entirely inappropriate and tacky, and yet the whole look feels matronly.
As long as it covers enough of that area, it doesn’t bug me. And that color is amazing.
I could do with the flower embroidery covering a little more
love the colour, length and shoes
