Florence Welch attended the 2012 Venice Film Festival premiere for ‘Women’s Tales’ at Sala Darsena in Venice, Italy this evening.
My first reaction to her Miu Miu Fall 2012 look was total horror, but when I let it marinade for a few minutes, I found myself liking it.
Loud contrasting prints aren’t anything we haven’t seen before from Florence Welch, and considering she appears to live in kaftans and floaty gowns, I guess she needed to switch things up.
While this look doesn’t live up to the stunning gowns we’ve seen so far at this festival, I can’t see anyone else pulling off this look with such finesse.
Can you?
Miu Miu accessories including black pumps with a contrasting heel and a purple quilted clutch completed her look.
Love or loathe?

LOATHE.
This? At Venice Film Festival? Where are her Elie Saab dresses?
LOL.
I only loathe her shoes, I hated them since I first saw the fall show. However, she pulls this look brilliantly.
I just wish the trousers were more tapered or longer. I do like the prints and the quirky shoes, as they fit her.
+1
i agree too, pants should be more tapered, they look comical on her
Yes, I agree. That’s my problem. I dislike the shoes but with longer trousers it would have looked better.
Love the look if it were at a different event. And with a little bit of makeup. From the neck up she looks like she just rolled out of bed.
Loathe! Dont like the fit of the trousers. As someone said, they should have been tapered or longer.
No, FC… not even you, whom I respect entirely, can justify this horror to me… Lol! Dislike from head to ugly shoe.
LOL
Me, too. The shoes are man repeller, I would say and the pants totally unflattering, but it’s not a surprise, I only like her stage outfits, in every day life her style is quite ugly.
+1
Frumpy, clownish mess, no, she is not pulling it off.
The length of the pants really bother me.
Horrible. I love Florence, but no.
LOATHE!.
LOATHE………
Loathe, this is too much in one outfit. I don’t know where to look.
I do. At anyone else.
LOL.
It looks like she had to steam the wallpaper off two different palazzos to come up with this outfit. I admire her work ethic.
Not a great look for a film festival. Now this for a normal day street style look? Sure. But at a Venice Film Festival? LOL.
She cannot get a pass.
Oh, the horror! Oh the horror! My eyes!!! And this–at Venice!!! If someone had worn the likes of this to Cannes I would have shaken my fist at the heavens!
I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either. I really like the top, the pants are okay, but I don’t like the shoes…
I kind of like it…
LOVE LOVE LOVE – as you said, i cant imagine anyone else pulling it off like her <3
Bravo to someone who takes a fashion risk!
i love the outfit, i just loathe the way it fit on her, also i love florence!! she is so edgy!!! and i think she needs some make up ..
