Daniela Virgilio attended the premiere of ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’, which was also part of the 69th Venice Film Festival opening ceremony on Tuesday evening.
The Italian actress wore a unique gown for the event, standing out amidst a sea of goddess gowns.
The silver-embroidered Fendi dress, covered in light-blue floral embroidery, features an unexpected netted neckline and bow detailing.
I bet Michelle Williams is kicking herself for missing this dress for herself.
A blunt bob, strappy Fendi sandals, smoky eyes and black Fendi clutch, which feel a tad too heavy, complete the look.

“I bet Michelle Williams is kicking herself for missing this dress for herself.” – LOL
LOL. This dress is super cute.
ohhh I love this dress!! it feels different
I agree, it is grown up adorable
I don’t like the dress as a gown. As a knee-length dress or even a mini this would’ve been PERFECT.
btw, the sandals seem to be quite interesting.
Very original, it’s summery and fresh, but still classy.
Exactly, the uniqueness of this dress is what makes it stand out and in a very very good way ! Totally loved it !
Also, those sandals are lovely.
+1! I’m surprised that I like it.
+ 2
I’m surprised to like it, too. Quite a lot, actually.
And the sandals look lovely.
I usually don’t go for dresses like these but this is uber cute!
What an adorable look!
I love this too. It is so refreshingly different–playful without being childlike. She looks soo much better in it than Michelle Williams would have because this woman has the sophistication to pull this kind of look off.
Well put, I agree totally
I think this dress is all kinds of ugly.
Ditto. It’s a silly dress – frumpy print, childish design on top, and a sexy thigh-high slit – pure mess, she looks horrible.
Weird dress, but at the same time, quite quirky. I like it on her!
I really like this. I have a love/hate relationship with quirky dresses but this one works because it is still sophisticated and elegant.
Her shoes are Fendi, I think. http://www.forwardforward.com/fw/DisplayProduct.jsp?code=FEND-WZ1&d=Womens
thanks
Fendi have confirmed via Facebook that her entire look is Fendi. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151192748536578&set=a.454154826577.248812.301701851577&type=1&relevant_count=1
many thanks Hannah
I’m torn…on one hand, I like some aspects of this look. But I think that I would have preferred it as a knee-length style with a full, flared skirt. Then I would be completely sold. But then it wouldn’t be appropriate for the red carpet…in fact, I think it wasn’t a formal enough choice in the first place.
beautiful, i love someone who isnt afraid to try something different
