Violante Placido also took to the red carpet tonight for the 2012 Venice Film Festival premiere of ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’, which also served as the Opening Ceremony this evening.
The Italian actress wore a fiery Alberta Ferretti strapless red gown with a sweetheart neckline.
I love everything about this look, especially the red accessories, but I can’t get on board with the hair on this occasion.
Not being a fan of ombre hair I wish she had styled her hair in a more sophisticated manner to complement the gown.

Emma Watson’s A.L.C. ‘Shelby’ Dress

Love the vibrant scarlet color–wish that thedress sat a bit higher. Her earrings and shoes are great, but her hair is not.
while I think I could be taking a bad work day out on my critiques, I just find this sloppy and done. This dress is somehow overworked and boring at the same time. And I just can’t with these platform heels. Can’t!
The dress is nice, although i’m not a fan of red gowns on red carpets, but there’s too much red (accessories + lips). The ombre hair totally cheapens the look.
I don’t like her hair or gown. I only like her accessories.
I agree with you FC–the hair is a big problem. I like the dress and accessories, and her makeup.
Like the gown, love the shoes, HATE the hair.
The gown is great. Shoes, amazing. The hair almost looks like a wig…
Not a bad look minus the hair.
I love the dress, the clutch, and the make up. I’m not crazy about the clashing color red earrings or the look of the shoes with this gown, though they would probably look great in other ensembles. The hair, I can’t imagine liking in any circumstance.
Sad. The absurd hair utterly ruins what otherwise would have been a delightful look.
Considering her look from last year, this one is disappointing.
The only thing I’m liking here is the gown itself. Bad styling.
This is very boring.
