On Friday, Carly Rae Jepsen took to the stage on ‘The Today Show’ to perform her insanely catchy hit ‘Call Me Maybe’, plus she sang her song ‘Good Time’ with Owl City on the early morning talk show.
The 27-year-old singer, who duped many of us into thinking she was in her early teens, wore an adorable Kelly Wearslter ‘Relief’ summery dress.
Her accessories added to the overall sassiness of the look as she added a colourful pair of Alice + Olivia ‘ Juliet’ wedges, an oversized ring, an ASOS spike-and-stone collar necklace plus a studded belt which completed her look.
A pretty pink lip colour provided the finishing touches.

The dress is nothing special and the fit is far from perfect, but this is a huge improvement for her, I think. At least she’s dressed her age!
When i thought she was 16, her looks made sense. Now, that know she’s 27, i just can’t take it seriously.

I know her audience is teen girls and all and she sings little teen pop songs and wants to be cute and all, but her look is fit for someone younger like Selena Gomez or Miranda Cosgrove.
The belt killed this look for me.

Well, I would say that the outfit is “age appropriate”: she sings for teenagers and dresses like one too. (she certainly looks like one! I can’t believe she is my age!! I want to know the trick! LOL)

Even though Im not a fan of her style, I really dont get the negativity here. She looks young, her audience is young. Nobody says anything about Katy Perry and Ashley Tisdale wearing mini dresses.
She needs to stop dressing like she’s in junior high. I know she has a young fanbase, but that doesn’t mean she can’t switch things up. And that in-her-eyes hair…oh god, I’m sick of it.
