Rachel Weisz for Marie Claire September 2012

With her new movie, ‘The Bourne Legacy’, hitting cinemas today in London, it’s no wonder Rachel Weisz was selected by Marie Claire UK as their cover girl for September 2012.

The 42-year-old actress looked enchanting wearing a Jason Wu gown from the Fall 2012 collection, which was captured by Tesh for the cover.

She continues to smoulder in the rest of her editorial, which sees her don a black and red Lanvin look, a Sophia Kokosolaki chiffon black dress and a pretty floral Dolce & Gabbana frock.

She talked to Marie Claire about swapping teenage rebellion for motherhood, Oscar-winning roles and marriage.

On if it was love at first sight with 007 husband Daniel Craig: “I’m going to change the subject… It wasn’t really like that. We’d been friends for ages.”

On living with another actor: “We don’t sit around talking about acting but you both understand you’ve got to be flexible. Every few months you start a new job.”

On not being bothered by the increased interest in her private life: “As far as downsides go, I don’t think it’s a big one. It’s something we deal with together.”

On not being perfect: “I have countless flaws – have you got a year?’ she says, standing tall in a Sophia Kokosolaki dress. ‘Hopefully, as one gets older, one learns to deal with the flaws that really affect other people.”

On combining acting with motherhood: “Like any job, there are days when you’re just pulling your hair out. The same as anyone who wants to be with their kid or husband. Every mother feels that don’t they? Of course sometime’s it’s great to get away and feel, ‘Hooray, I’m not changing nappies today.’ I mean, I love my son but it’s not without conflict.”
