After a run of summer LBDs, celebs are finally brightening up the red carpet with citrus hues.
Orange, tangerine, coral… call them what you will; finally celebs are taking inspiration from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alberta Ferretti, Jean Paul Gaultier and Jill Stuart’s Spring 2012 runway shows to rock this bold, bright colour on the red carpet.
Victoria Beckham, Kristin Davis, Ashley Greene and Leslie Mann have all been successful in pulling off this hue in a variety of silhouettes from figure-hugging to fit-and-flare.
If you are apprehensive about wearing orange, break up the colour a bit with a nude belt or work the look à la Solange Knowles by adding bold accessories to offset the colour slightly.
Brighter colours in hues like red-orange and tangerine often work best.
I love orange. I have an orange Equipment shirt and an orange DVF dress, which I love to mix with other bold colours and prints.

Yes, I am. I have 3 orange dresses.
I LOVE orange.
Me too. And I also love the pictured DVF dress.
I think it looks good only with dark skin. All of these girls look better in some different colour. Orange is the only colour I would not wear.
I disagree that orange only looks good on dark skin. It’s a gorgeous, vibrant color that one can wear any time of the year.

I have an embarrassing number of orange dresses in my closet.
For those who love orange and can’t wear it, try watermelon instead. Watermelon is considered a universal colour so everyone can wear it!

Orange is best on warm complexions. A burnt orange looks great on someone who has matt or muted skin and clear bright orange looks better on someone with clear skin.It is not a case of whether orange looks good on dark or light skin, that is connected to the value of the colour.
If you are warm then you need to find “your” orange.

Not usually a fan of orange but these great RC looks are making me warm to it a bit!
