Viola Davis was in New York City on Friday to attend the screening of her latest movie ‘Won’t Back Down’, held at the NYIT Auditorium.
She opted for a vibrant Rachel Roy sheath dress with a square neckline and draped back.
Her gold statement earrings are really special, but it’s her black satin Brian Atwood ‘Mojito’ platform sandals with woven raffia heel and fringed trim which upstage the look.
A cropped hairstyle, smoky eye makeup, and a dark lip colour completed her look.

the color is amazing with her gorgeous skin tone! i also love her hair this way with the earrings !
Perfection. That colour was made for her. Just beautiful!
Gorgeous! BDOTW contender in my opinion, just for the shoes alone!
+1!
Definitely BDOTW stunning. So simple!
I don´t think the shoes upstage the look, I think they make the look as it´s a very simple dress and a great background to showcase an interesting statement shoe. But with the statement shoes like these she should´ve opted for much simpler non-standout earrings.

I like everything except her makeup.
Chic look, great accessories, and I love her smile. I do feel, though, that she’s worn a lot of similar type dresses before–particularly during The Help tour. That’s not a bad thing, but it did give me a little bit of deja vu.
We can assume now that red always be a “safe” choice for her, simply because she always looks gorgeous in red, just like Jolie in black.
