Rashida Jones attended the New York premiere of her latest movie ‘Celeste and Jessie’ last night, following the LA premiere on Saturday.
It was all black in LA, but she gave us a vibrant burst of colour in New York.
Her Thakoon Resort 2013 sleeveless multi-coloured geometric-print dress accented with a gold waistband plays to the other side of her red-carpet favoured style: bold prints.
She loves her black blazers, but she’s not afraid of prints, with Thakoon being her go-to designer for something bold and colourful.
Gold jewels including Melinda Maria hooped earrings, Valentino strappy sandals, a hot red lip colour and a neat updo completed her look.

Lovely dress! IMO, she should have worn gold sandals.
Agreed.
The dress is gorgeous, but she should have chosen a more simple pair of sandals and let the dress be the center of attention.
I like the dress, but not on her.
I don’t think this dress looks good belted. I also don’t care for the shoes.
Love the dress, love that she belted her, like her accessories. Good goin Rashida.
Much prefer the cute shape/structure of the dress on the model, it’s not the same on Rashida. Not a fan of the belt or lipcolour, the shoe choice could’ve been better.
She does this dress justice. Love the look and I especially love the shoes.
The shoes are fantastic. Agree, a gold or bronze sandal might have been more of a sure thing. But I like this. Since the shoe pattern is smaller and more subdued, I think they work with the bolder pattern of the dress.
Love the shoes!
She looks great! And I love her shoes!
I like the shoes, but not the belt. The dress would work better without it-she is bustier than the model and the belt only emphasizes that fact.
Or, on second consideration–maybe the bodice and neckline of her dress are not the same as the model’s–if so, I like the model’s better.
