We all couldn’t help but notice Selena Gomez stun in her hot-pink fit-n-flare Dsquared² Resort 2013 dress at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, California on Sunday.
However, this wasn’t the first time this flirty little frock made its debut.
Anna Dello Russo was actually the one who spotted the feminine frock first and chose to wear it during Milan Menswear Fashion Week at the Dsquared² fashion show.
Anna paired this scooped neckline and flared skirt design with pink strappy YSL sandals and Olympia Le Tan’s book clutch.
The editor chose Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses to complete her look for a much more dressed-down, casual look than the pop diva.
Selena pulls off this hot-pink mini to a tee, accessorizing with Lana jewelry, star-burst earrings, and cream Herve Leger by Max Azria sandals for a more glamorous appeal on the pink carpet.
While the two both look pretty in pink, I can’t help but think this fit-n-flare number fits the young singer’s style better, plus I prefer her choice of accessories for a glitzier, glammed-up vibe.

Selena Gomez.
Old lady wearing a dress that would fit her daughter or a young lady dressed her age? Easy pick
+1, to be sure. There are not really rules, but del russo looks ridiculous. Just because it fits does not mean it suits.
Look at Helen Mirren or Susan Sarandon, they are older than her yet look younger than her! Nuff said…
ROTFL! Mutton dressed as lamb. The irony is that dressing so young makes ADR look even older — and a little desperate.
Anne needs to dress her age. She would look more attractive.
I absolutely prefer this on Anna – it looks like a $10 Walmart dress on Selena. Anna takes the cuteness of the dress down a notch and makes it look cool, which is exactly what the dress needs because the sweetness of the dress is giving me a toothache.
That is so funny, because I was thinking the exact opposite. Anna makes the dress look cheap, especially with those tacky accessories. Selena is the right age to pull it off, Anna may be in high fashion (and have more sophisticated taste overall) but she is too old to wear hot pink.
At times, ADR hunching ages her tremendously. She looks like she works out, but more weight lifting may be required to keep that back straight.
I actually prefer Anna’s styling. But yeah, overall it fits Selena’s body better.
Selena looks way better, I loved her sandals. But the model on the ad wore the dress better than everyone else! The acessories in it are the best.
I voted for Anna. I must say the dress looked much more expensive on her. But boy … the skin on Anna’s legs made me wonder if she’s in her 60s. I can see how that may have undermine the whole look.
As hard as it is to admit, ADR can work anything! Selena has this baby face, which makes her look like a little girl dressing up in her mother’s clothing.
Anna
Anna looks horrible! She is WAY too skinny, and this dress really shows off how unflattering that is. Also, her shoulders and forward, as are her hips… but her back is hunched in. Not good! Anna’s leather skin clashes with the dress color, as do her purple-y heels. I must say, though, the sunglasses are cute.
As for Selena, she wins by default. It appears as though she is on her way to a tennis match. Too plain and somewhat outdated.
*shoulders are
The model displays a great example of how to properly wear this dress…Really cute!!
