Before the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, Lea Michele hosted the ‘Valspar Hands For Habitat Unveiling’ at the Hearst Tower in New York City on Friday afternoon looking pretty in vibrant blue.
Dressed in a floral silk organza embroidered Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 dress, the ‘Glee’ actress shows that she can do cutesy as well as sultry on the red carpet.
Her blue mini dress was paired with Versace black pumps for a sophisticated touch for her event-appropriate look.
Lea kept the rest of her look simple with minimal makeup, glossy straight locks and a selection of rings.
As much as I love this look, I’m really missing a waist nipping belt. It would’ve been the perfect finishing touch.

Cute dress, and the color looks great on her, but I agree with FC that she should have worn a belt.
I’m also not crazy about the black shoes. I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but if she had to wear pumps I almost wish she’d rather gone with nude.

Bummer. The hair is great, but not with this look. She needed an updo, the runway belt and better shoes. The black shoes ruin it for me the most.

I like the dress, but the styling is way better on the runway.
I feel like sometimes wearing black with a colorful outfit when you’re tan can look off. Or maybe it’s just this case. She should’ve gone with metallics.

The dress has a structure and fits her well, so it works perfectly fine without a belt imo. Her glossy locks also work fine with the cute flirty dress, no need for an updo. The black pumps is what bothers me here, too heavy for this dress.
She should have gone with the runway look. The dress needs a belt, and I’ve caught FC’s aversion to black pumps. Besides being heavy looking, the shoes seem to be a size too large.
I don’t mind the lack of belt tbh. It was a daytime charity event and I’m glad she kept it simple, sweet and not about her. She looked good. The black pumps, however, I could do without.
I think it looks sweet and simple for a daytime charity event. It kept the focus more on the charity than on her as it should. She looks very pretty and fresh. The shoes are awful though. They just look too heavy.
