My favourite girl Thandie Newton attended a party celebrating the global launch of Audi City, Audi’s first digital showroom, featuring an art installation by Chris Cunningham in London yesterday evening.
The actress, who doesn’t appear to age, wore a dress by one of her favourite designers, Stella McCartney.
The peplum is summer’s big trend, which was kick started at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
We’ve seen many interpretations of the trend, but here Thandie works it in an uber-chic way wearing this black-and-teal stretch-jersey sleeveless Stella McCartney dress.
Yes, this is a dress best suited for fall, but with the non-stop rain in the UK making it feel more like October, this look couldn’t be more appropriate.
Gold accessories including a Stella McCartney gold wicker clutch and black Stella McCartney wedges provided the finishing touches.

Amazing — I find myself liking a Stella creation. Of course, it is Thandie wearing it. I’ll give the fall look a pass.
The one other Stella piece I have liked this year was a pink blazer worn by Charlize Theron. Hmmm — both feature solid colors and are just simpler, less full of a bunch of design elements . Maybe some of Stella’s designs are a case of trying too hard (imho, of course).
