Kerry Washington posed for photographers on the red carpet at the discussion panel for ‘Django Unchained’ during Comic-Con 2012 on Saturday in San Diego, California.
The actress teamed an A.L.C. black leather button-down sleeveless shirt with a bold J. Mendel Resort 2013 floral-print high-waisted A-line skirt.
I adore that striking J. Mendel floral print, but the overall styling is quite bad by Kerry’s standards.
The leather top, which looks tight around the bust, was a bad idea as was the purple belt with the gold accent.
I also dislike the clunky footwear. What a difference an orange pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals, Nicholas Kirkwoods or Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalles’ would have made.
Minimal jewels, a bouffant ponytail with side-swept bangs and a bold red lip colour completed her rather disappointing look.

I like nothing about this look!!!
It isn’t comic con appropriate, maybe the original top would have lessened that feeling!
I also don’t like her hair or make up or shoes, they are all so heavy!

I remember the days when I could depend on Kerry for chic day looks and stunning glamour for evening. Disappointing looks like this one are becoming a bit too frequent. The shoes — just sad.

Like Ginnifer Goodwin and Emmy Rossum, Kerry Washington is a red carpet pro who rarely missteps; this look is that rare event.
I find her to be wildly inconsistent on the red carpet. This is actually quite a bad look for someone as stunning as her and for someone who’s had some really wonderful fashion moments in the past.
Even my love for this skirt can’t keep her away from looking this bad. I’m very disappointed.
