When Pippa Middleton arrived at Wimbledon today to see the men’s singles final between Roger Federer and Andy Murray in London with her sister Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, I instantly recognised her Project D dress.
That’s because Crown Princess Mary of Denmark wore the same printed peplum dress whilst attending the christening of Princess Athena of Denmark at the Mogeltonder Church in Tonder, Denmark, back in May.
Coincidence, or is Pippa style-watching royals like the rest of us?

Mary, without a doubt!! She’s such a gorgeous Princess and you should really feature her more often. Her style is so much more interesting than Kate M’s.
+1
I agree
The minute I saw Pippa on television I asked myself if FC might be watching!!! I couldn’t place the dress but I knew I had seen it somewhere before.
Sure enough, FC the Fashion Detective came through for us right away!
ha ha…I’m always keeping watch
I think Pippa needs a bra
Oh absolutely agreed! Hate to say it but yes Pippa looks a lot less than pert and well it just makes the dress look dowdy and ruins the whole effect of the peplum whereas the silhouette looks great on Mary. Oh well it’s not like anyone was watching right?
I think it’s just her posture at the time.
Truly though, while I like Mary’s look better, from what we can see from the two photos, I would have liked to have seen how Pippa styled hers for a true comparison.
Danish (or Tasmanian) Dynamite for the win! Mary is a clear winner for me.
She dresses age and event appropriate without making it Boring at all.
I couldn’t help but smile when I saw Pipa in the dress, and immediately imagined the “who wore it better”-post in my head, so when I got to your site and you had already uploaded this post it made my day!
Loool, is this a trick question?
How can you judge when you can only see a full shot of one outfit and barely a full shot of the other…
It’s such a boring look that no one wins.
I agree, it’s a very frumpy dress, major fail on both women.
Princess Mary is the picture of elegance. I really love this dress and Mary looks lovely in it. Pippa’s hair and makeup is lovely but I can’t really decide on the dress. She probably looked lovely in it but I don’t like her posture in the image and she might need a better bra.
Pippa might have looked better in a pose similar to Princess Mary’s, but even then I think the Princess would be my favorite. Her sweet little accessory standing by her side in blue and white tips the scale.
Sorry, but I find this dress really unattractive and unflattering on both of these lovely women. Like something out of an early 1990′s JC Penney catalog.
Have to agree I hate the dress. It looks like a throwback from the 80′s . It flatters neither of them.
