Anne Hathaway showcased many gorgeous dresses whilst hosting the 2011 Oscars.
The one we are focusing on here is her bedazzled high-necked Tom Ford gown, which was the most controversial on the night and has gone on to be worn on two more occasions.
Supermodel and reality TV host Elle Macpherson wore the same dress back in January to the 2012 National Television Awards held in London.
Even with all that embellishment, Elle went on to add diamond-encrusted statement earrings which weren’t needed with this particular gown.
Eva Green was the only one who nailed this look for me when she wore it to the ‘Dark Shadows’ LA premiere back in May.
This gown suits her dark, mysterious persona and unlike Elle she didn’t appear to be trying too hard.

Eva wore it the best. Not a dress for a down hair do Elle & Anne didn’t look confident wearing it looking at her body language.

Anne- the dress makes Eva look too pale for me, although they both look good. She just needs a better photo- not the best angle to showcase the dress. I also prefer her makeup.
Definitely not Elle- she over did it on the accessories front.

My vote goes to Eva. Anne looks completely overwhelmed by the gown, while Elle misses this century completely with the theatrical styling.
Elle has the firm body and broad shoulder for the gown, so she wins for me. But the updo is questionable. Eva captured the spirit, but she doesn’t have the lower body of la petite parisienne. She looked aged in the gown.

I don’t really like this gown to begin with but Eva wins for me as she has the attitude to carry it off. I also think it is a good choice for the event. Anne is next followed by Elle. I really didn’t like Elle’s styling.
I’m sorry to say this but this dress is horrendous. The cutting seems to make the slight built Anne Hathaway and Eva Green look enormous at the hips, when they don’t at all. Elle pulls it off because well, they don’t call her “the Body” for nothing!
