Mischa Barton celebrated Independence Day at the launch of Aston Martin Vanquish at the London Film Museum on Wednesday.
The actress/designer wore a Temperley London Spring 2012 gown.
Her ivory silk-crepe gown with crystal embellishments is a show-stopping choice.
I love the cutout shoulders which gives this a vintage-inspired feel.
Unfortunately it falls a bit flat on Mischa.
Maybe it’s the makeup, maybe it’s her hair covering most of the detail, or maybe it’s because she decided to style this gorgeous dress with those hideous Christian Louboutin ‘Daffodile’ cork pumps.
It could just be all of the above. What do you think?

All of the above.
I really hate those shoes – normally. But I kinda think this looks good, because they match her hair. Oh my god, never thought this day would come!
+1.
I kind of didn’t dislike it , since it matched her hair..
Don’t you think its her expression and the gloomy face that’s ruining the most of her look !!!
Totally! That awful pouting, that some female celebrities are so fond of, should just get off the market NOW!
Definitely the face, she looks miserable. I don’t like the shoes but I do really like the dress.
I prefer the dress on her than on the model, but I don´t like her shoes.
+1
I’m kinda liking the whole match-the-shoes-to-the-hair-colour look. Just hope the shoe cork texture is also not matched to the hair!
This looks great on the runway but not on Mischa.
Its all of the above, bland makeup, hair not pulled back and the terrible shoes.
Love this outfit – she looks really good and everything fits. Shoes would look better with about 2 inches off the platforms though.
When I look at the two images above. It hits home how much better the dress looks on Mischa, as opposed to the rake-thin model, and frustrates me that designers choose to send models down a catwalk who look seriously ill. A little bit of weight is a beautiful thing

She destroyed this dress. All that drama on the runway is totally lost on Mischa. A severe top-knot and a bright lip would have made this what it needs to be, but she just lacks that know-how.
Compared to how Barton normally looks, I’ll give her a pass here. She’s not abysmal here at least.
I think she ruined a very beautiful dress styling it with all of the above.
Pull her hair out of the way and put on a smile. It would look much better. I’m still thinking about her shoes…
I say “all of the above”, but the shoes really stand out for their ugliness.
Mischa looks great but I would prefer to look at the new Aston Martin
Mischa looks nice , but i think she needs a pop of color, maybe some red lipstick and the same shoes but in other color
The dress looks amazing on her, but I also hate the shoes with it and would have preferred an updo.
The shoes messed up the whole look for me.
The dress is beautiful and it fits her well. But the shoes… they’re the ugliest Daffodile. I don’t even know why she’s still invited at so many events, by the way.
