There once was a time when wearing the same thing twice was a major fashion faux pas.
But thanks to Anna Wintour who is likely to wear a Prada or Oscar de la Renta dress twice or thrice in quick secession, much like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, those rules no longer apply.
Despite that, I was surprised to see stylist Caroline Sieber wearing the same Chanel dress within two weeks.
Sporting a black-and-white rose and feather-accented fascinator, she attended Royal Ascot in England wearing her Chanel dress with Louis Vuitton toe-cap pumps and a grey Chanel bag.
She gave the dress a second run out this week when she attended the Chanel Fall 2012 Couture show during Paris Fashion Week.
Keeping the sunshine off her fair skin, she opted for a sun hat on this occasion.
A nude clutch and matching suede ankle-strap peep-toes accessorized her look.
With the jewelled detail around the neckline of her dress, I’m surprised she opted to wear a necklace with this dress.
I much prefer the first look. The sun hat and nude heels don’t work at all for me. I’m quite disappointed by the second look to be honest.

I’m quite disappointed by both looks.
It would be a shame to wear a Chanel dress only once… And this is quite cute! Why not?
+ 1
I totally agree, I think wearing a dress more than once just speaks for how fantastic it is. Not really loving the styling of the second look though.
I do like both looks and It’s a pretty normal thing to normal people wearing a dress more than once isn’t it? Aren’t we all equal?
I don’t midn her rewearing a Chanel dress – if I had one I certainly would, and it is appropriate for both events.
I prefer the first look, too, which is shocking because she is wearing white shoes., I think without the hat I would have prefered the second look.
Her sandals are Prada http://store.prada.com/en/UK#!/en/UK/woman/footwear/open-toes/1XP324_XQS_F0041_F_135
Thanks
I dont think the second look is that bad. I would just try a bigger, different clutch.
I think it’s refreshing that we’re seeing these people wear the same thing more than once. If I had a Chanel dress like that, I’d wear it until it fell apart! I actually prefer the second look; I like the way the hat makes it look quite casual, and I NEED those shoes in my life.
Completely agree. The 1st look is much Much better put together, the accessories complement the dress beautifully. Really dislike the way she styled the 2nd one – the hat, the nude accessories (would never pair such a dress with those ankle-strap peep-toes, really bad shoe choice), none of it is working.
I agree with FC, the accessories arent working for me in the second picture, she looks much more polished in the first pic.
I love the first look.
I only like the first look.
i love the fact how she swich swaps those styles in one dress but both really extermly very highly adoreble
