Rose Byrne was in Florence, Italy, last week to celebrate the opening of the ‘Marilyn’ exhibition at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo.
The actress wore a Salvatore Ferragamo dress.
Featuring a high neckline, Rose’s conservative printed chiffon dress had a surprising revealing keyhole detail.
What wasn’t surprising was her choice of accessories.
An eggplant and gold plated Ferragamo clutch and nude satin Ferragamo peep-toes were perfect choices to style her look, but I would’ve liked a belt to nip in her waist.
Bright blue eye shadow, a shimmering nude lip colour and an updo with side-parted bangs and face framing tendrils provided the finishing touches.

A belt and different make-up, IMO.
+1. A belt and better makeup would have made this look a 100x better. Also I hate satin pumps so get rid of those too while you’re at it.
I am not liking the makeup with this look.
Yes, a belt would have made a HUGE difference.
I think a length just below the knee would be better too. As it is, and despite the keyhole, it has a bit of a Lunch-in-the-Retirement-Home vibe.
I do like the accessories and despite the fact that I usually hate blue eye-shadow, I don’t mind the make-up.
I don’t mind the look wihtout a belt. I love the look except for the eyeshadow.
a big NO to the make up
Ditto. I can’t even see the dress because of the makeup.
Dislike it, way too mumsy – the matronly length, hair and makeup, the mumsy pumps – shorter length, sexier sandal and hair/makeup would’ve been welcome.
+1. Normally I love Rose’s style. The whole vibe feels fussy librarian to me.
er, thanks (I’m a librarian and I think it looks dreadfully boring, as well).
I can see where people are coming from re belt. It certainly would have needed more figure definition around there… and maybe also over-knee length? I actually don’t mind the make up thaaat (!) much.
Ugh! When the early 70s attack!
I hate everything here. Makeup, dress, dress length, dress fit, dress fabric, shoes, shoe color, shoe heaviness. The only things I like is the hair and the clutch.
This is a LOT conservative! And I hate the makeup
