Michelle Williams was in New York City on Thursday night for a special screening of her latest movie ‘Take This Waltz.’
The actress strayed way out of her comfort zone, choosing an uber-sexy Altuzarra Resort 2013 dress.
The lace-up corset bodice is a bit more risky and sexy than we’re used to seeing the reserved actress wear, but I love seeing something different from her this time around.
Michelle opted to wear the celebrity-favourite Givenchy strappy sandals in white, which add a contrast to the dark dress.
I would’ve loved to have seen this dress in another colour. A bright hue would be more appropriate for the current heat wave in NYC.
Red nail polish, nude lips, Forevermark jewels, a Judith Leiber black clutch and her signature pixie cut complete the look.

I actually like it a lot. She’s strayed from her comfort zone, but not so far out of it that she looks ridiculous. I like the shoes with the dress, but wish the clutch was more of a standout.
I’m always interested to see what she will wear, but this new departure gets a thumbs down from me. Don’t like the boobs on display, don’t like the shoes.
This is second resort 2013 look. Her stylist is on a roll but by looking at this dress you would this its Pre-Fall 2013 at best. The shoes are not cute and I wish the dress was in a different color like Yellow, maybe?
In the sea of very well dressed women this week, I think this look is so forgettable.

This whole outfit, styling and all, would be so great on just about anyone else but the way she carries herself and the hair is just so off-putting it ruins the entire thing. She needs to change something up because even in a perfect outfit like this she never works for me.
I can’t help not liking this. If it were on Eva Mendes, I’d get it, but on her it looks like she’s trying to be sexy- and failing.
Also, I don’t mind white shoes, but these are pretty jarring.
Choosing a risky sexy dress is the 1st step, now she should actually try to bring some sex appeal to make it work which she doesn’t (standing there like a school girl), hence the whole thing falls apart. Her shoe choice doesn’t make sense. Gyvenchy black sandal version and a belt would’ve made it a bit better.
I think she looks fabulous. I love the dress, sexy but not excessively so. She is glowing!
